About Us
Teatro Association has been active in the fields of culture, community, theater, and the arts since its establishment, with the aim of cultural development and enrichment. The association has produced a wide range of theatrical and artistic performances, and has developed projects focused on violence prevention through community-based drama, cinema, and arts workshops, in cooperation with the Ministries of Welfare and Education and local authorities throughout the country.
Institutional Goals
The main motivation behind establishing this project is the aspiration to lead a transformative shift in the perception of culture, creativity, and economic and consumption patterns in the city of Nazareth and the Northern region. The project seeks to provide a genuine response to the needs of the Arab community audience by establishing a center for creativity and culture that combines a unique and authentic experience—one that nurtures human life, raises awareness, and promotes social growth.
The founders of the project are a group of artists led by artist Hisham Suleiman, along with cultural and artistic activists from the Arab community. With extensive experience in their fields, they believe that this project will make a significant contribution to the advancement of culture and the arts.
Initiator & Director of the Institution
He has initiated and managed numerous projects, most notably the establishment and management of the Nazareth Fringe Theatre for 15 years, and the founding of the Nazareth Academy for Theatre Arts and Acting. He has directed and produced more than 50 theatrical projects, and serves as a lecturer and professor of acting at the Western Galilee College.
Hisham Suleiman has performed in all major theaters in the country, and has acted in numerous local and international television series and films.
Initiator & Director of the Institution
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Naturopathic Medicine as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, in addition to several advanced professional certifications in Traditional Chinese Medicine. For over eight years, he has founded and managed a private naturopathic clinic, providing comprehensive therapeutic services that integrate scientific knowledge with practical experience.
Haitham Lawabneh also possesses a strong administrative background in the tourism and hospitality sector. He worked for eight years in front-desk operations at guesthouses and later served as General Manager of the “Treasure” Guesthouse for three years in the city of Nazareth. In addition, he was a member of several local committees focused on developing tourism and strengthening the city’s economic landscape.
From an entrepreneurial perspective, he previously owned a guesthouse in the Old City of Nazareth, as well as hotel apartments in Turkey, and has hands-on experience in both local and international trade.
His diverse professional background reflects a deep commitment to creating meaningful value for the community, through the integration of a holistic health vision with economic, tourism, and entrepreneurial expertise.
